Why are puppy classes important?
Between the ages of 6 and 12 weeks in particular, but up to 16 weeks to a lesser degree, your puppy is at the most impressionable time of its life. In this short space of time, everything that it experiences is treated as “normal” and acceptable. Puppies learn their social skills best at this time of their lives. It is important for your puppy to be exposed to as many different life experiences as possible in this time period. This will lead to a more relaxed adult dog. If you like the idea of a Sunday morning, sipping latte at your local cafe while your dog sits contentedly under foot, puppy classes are an essential first step.
